It is no secret that most people enjoy the activity of eating food. However, the places where people consume their food varies from person to person. Many people enjoy eating out for more than the chance to eat food but also for the opportunity to socialize with others in a place where the food has been prepared for others. Bars and restaurants are very popular for this specific reason: it allows the opportunity for individuals to enjoy food they haven’t tried before in a setting that promotes company. In this blog I am going to exame how and where people eat, including my personal analysis on how and where I choose to eat where I do.
I am someone who welcomes any opportunity to meet new people. Therefore when I am in the process of finding a new friend group, I will often suggest that the group go into town on our day off and try a new restaurant so as to bond over a shared new experience together.
When I am at a new restaurant with friends, I will often try ordering something that I am familiar with but with toppings I am less familiar with. An example of this is pizza where in the past I tried putting anchovies on it, only to learn that I do not like anchovies. The experience of trying a new topping on a food I knew at a new restaurant with friends was a wonderful experience.
Food is an opportunity for friends to come together to enjoy good times in an upbeat setting. People select new places to eat so as to create new memories with friends in an unfamiliar setting.
