Overall, Lowry is about a 6/10. It has some good days but those come every so often. The quality of the food could be better but not the worst. The quantity of options could greatly be increased. We see the same meals at grill, pizza, and pasta constantly. Overall, could be better, but gets us by for now.
Isabel’s Lowry Review
The chances I can actually eat the food in Lowry are slim to none. As someone who is quite Lactose Intolerant, it is frustrating to see basically every food item that seems remotely tasty covered in a thick layer of cheese. Thus, I have been forced to eat the exact same sandwich for most of my meals which has become quite frustrating. Especially last year when there was no salad bar and we weren’t allowed to make our own sandwiches, I often found myself not being able to eat very much, if at all. Luckily things have gotten a little better in terms of being able to find food to eat this year.
There is not much that Lowry can do to help students with dietary restrictions without redesigning its current dining options. Although I am not sure that the college would think it a worthwhile investment to redo how it cooks food (meaning without the slathering of cheese on top of pretty much every meal).
Lowry Sucks, But Why…
Ah yes, Lowry. I often find that as I am waiting in line to get into the building, I think back to my freshman year. I don’t know how I used to be okay putting food in my body that would definitely lead to a day dedicated to the toilet, but I swear I can’t eat it anymore. In fact, I heard (from word of mouth) that Lowry gets it’s food from an organization that primarily supplies prisons with their food. Are we eating prison food? Sure tastes like it.
:O
Zion’s Rating on Lowry
Lowry is not all that. The food is mid, and the options available are pretty redundant. As a student, Lowry is a place of necessary survival: meaning if it wasn’t the main choice of on campus dining, I would not go. Also, I prefer organic fruits and vegetables and Lowry lacks this and a wide variety to choose from. Out of a 10, I would give it a 4.
